profile It was a long time coming for the founder, Christina Redwine Stimson to start Fair World Partners. Christina has always had an innate sense to help others in the third world. During her undergraduate studies, Christina found herself studying Spanish abroad in Costa Rica, earning a Major in Sociology and a Minor in Spanish. While there she volunteered for the Peace Corp at a home for neglected and abused children.

She loved her stay in the South soo much she decided to stay for another semester and taught English to Tarahumaran indigenous children in northern Mexico. Upon returning to Colorado, she took an internship with a Latin Resource Center and was an advocate for immigrants. After graduating she found herself as an administrative assistant for a language school. Wanting to further her education more she earned her Masters in Nonprofit Management, focusing her thesis on Fair Trade, creating a User’s Guide to Forming a Statewide Fair Trade Coalition.

Upon completion of her Masters, she graciously accepted an offer to work for a Fair Trade program that supported a network of artisans in El Salvador, People of Hope Crafts. In the course of 4 years, Christina visited the artisans numerous times, gained an in-depth understanding of their situations, worked with them on program evaluation and product development. She feels gracious to have been given the opportunity to further the Fair Trade Movement through this position.

Today, Christina is excited to take yet another step in her fight towards justice through Fair Trade by forming a business to support Fair Trade artisans throughout the third world, Fair World Partners. Believing thoroughly that Fair Trade cannot exist without regulations; Fair World Partners is committed to only offering Fair Trade Certified products.
